Thank you so much Mr Lee Kuan Yew!..

I can't imagine what kind of life we would be having without you..

Suddenly I realized so much..

Especially after watching the review/replays of what he has done, his life on TV..

Actually we are very fortunate being a Singaporean, living in Singapore but maybe some of us did not realized..

I'm thankful that I'm literate.. As it opened up the world for me..

In fact being bilingual is only the basic..It's not enough..He even picked up Malayu and Hokkien..

When getting around, I realized that communication is very important..

to get information and to get the right information..

I felt embarrassed for how I used to complain about going to school, too much youth days being spent on studies, studying subjects that wouldn't be used after graduation..

I guess those subjects was for us to practice our language..

He thought much..

We are very fortunate to be living in this era, having water flowing out when we open our tap..Perhaps, it just happened so naturally that we forgot that this action doesn't comes by easily..

Lots of hard work has been done behind..

Having a roof over head, despite growing population on a small land..

Our public transportation..

Our very valuable Passport!.. :D

Although I have experienced someone treating my pspt like useless paper.. :(

Maybe she really disliked her job luh .. :/

I'm really thankful and grateful..

The next time, I would think more and further before complaining..

I really liked his perception of life..

He has accomplished much..

He do not just think and say only, he got things done..

He clearly know what he wanted..

A person without fear..perhaps had but still fight till the end..

I guess he did not left with regrets..

A well lead, fruitful and respected life.. *Salute!*

Though I did not joined the Queue at the Parliament House but I still do respected him like my own Ah Gong(Grandpa)..

went to a nearby community tent and signed the memorial book..It was crowded too..

Braces 2nd N 3rd visit, Tooth Extraction

2nd and 3rd Visit was.....tooth EXTRACTION!.. T.T :'(

Oh My God..Starting of the worst part of getting a Braces..
I remembered on the previous session, I would have to take some pictures..
[top and bottom set of teeth, front view and side view]
So I told them about the pictures..trying to divert the focus on tooth extraction..
In the end..what would come will come...have to face it..
The moment I see the needle..I wanted to faint already..
I wanted to say 'wait wait wait' but have no chance..
Maybe the dentist have done uncountable times of tooth extractions..his face was like no expression..
Ever since I have proper memory, this is my 1st tooth extraction..I nv expect myself to experience this..
I was like crying for help inside, but no sound could come out..
before I could react, the needle is already in my gum.. T.T
worst thing is for 2 tooth. left side 1st..

Actually I was expecting some explanation of what would be the process, what are the plans, what would be done, how many tooth to extract, which tooth would be extracted, a better gauge of how much I would have to spend, a better gauge of duration, etc etc..
From what I've read from most website, this would be done after the Xray and mould...
but nothing was said..
I just follow thru the process without knowing what would happen next.. :(
Maybe the dentist was really busy w lotsa patient..
Well..I can only trust my dentist's skill and hope that the end result is good..

Anyway..I thought I would need MC..but surprisingly, I'm okae and went to work the next day..
However, after the extraction, not sure is it bcoz of the jab or am I too traumatized by the experience, I was in a daze on my way home that I almost missed my stop..My heart dropped too.. 0.0

Ate with the right teeth for a week..
Returned the following week for the next 2 tooth extraction on the right.. T.T

Don't know why this time more painful.. :'(

Like the bottom extracted tooth's vein was bruised..feeling like 'blue black'..

It got so painful that I can't slp that night..had panadol..

But still..nv take MC luh..

I think they say to bite on the cotton for ard 30min, but I lost count of the timing and bite on it for like 2hrs..hahaha... -.-'

I'm thankful that at least I don't looks 'bo gae' [toothless]..

I thought finally the worst has ended..

but there's more to come..

Braces 1st visit

Finally firmly putting thoughts into action!..

Always have the thought of getting a braces but been shelving this and no actual actions taken..

Actually my teeth R not that bad..just that there's one or two tooth overlapping for the lower set..

So...Drag and drag and drag..

Coz Expensive, Scared of the pain from snapping rubber band, Ugly, Lazy, no motivation, Scared after effect would be uglier like can see the gum..hahaha..

Finally couldn't stand feeling the in-out-in-out tooth with my tongue and one of the tooth was chipped abt 2years back(or perhaps more)..

Sometimes, food just got stucked in between the overlapped tooth and it's uglier to use my nails to dig it out in public.. -.-'

I've just got more concerned if the blocked tooth would get decayed.. :/

Finally took out my courage to look for information and check out at a clinic..

Actually, the dentist didn't say much just ask me if I wanna get the braces done and have a nice set of teeth or still need to consider..

I didn't think much coz I've decided to get braces already, just worried about the prices..

What's told was really general..Braces ard 3.8K..Excluding X-ray, mould, retainer, cleaning etc..

Braces on day is the 1st payment of 1.2K and $120 on subsequent mthly visit..abt 2years..

But still went ahead as the clinic was nearby my house and had read good comments on some website..

Went ahead and took X-ray and mould for dentist to analyze..

was told that will explain how many tooth would be extracted etc. etc. on my next visit..

I thought the top set might not need but he said that top set would need also due to biting issue..

Looks kinda overbiting..

PS: I'm not promoting the dentist/clinic..Just talking about the processes..Cheers.. :)

will update on 2nd visit soon.. :P

Seoul trip 2013

Okay..guess this is kinda outdated..

but late is better than nothing..hahaha...

Remembered the previous time visiting korea..(and de 1st time also luh..)

this is one of the must do thingy in our list..

Actually we didn't know which one to go..

this place was recommended by one of the staff at our hostel coz it's just nearby n not expensive..

 Another must eat!..Zha Jiang Mian!..
The hostel owner was very nice..they ordered for us too!..
I missed this dish now..Aww~

Saw information on the web regarding this university..
Ewha Women's University.. [Edae subway station]
it looks totally like European Country's kinda school..

like entering into a different world..

How can we missed out the all famous Hello kitty cafe..
ard Hongik area..kinda hidden too..
Saw mostly group tour in de cafe.. -.-"

didn't know abt Trickeye museum until my friend showed me there..
lotsa creative/'eyes dropping' drawings!..hahaha..

Now there's one in sg Sentosa too..
Really..lotsa korea product coming to sg..maybe next time no needa travel so far ler.. -.-'

we did went visit one of de night, but sadly weather that night wasn't good..

we heard lotsa people coming down from the top saying they can't see anything..

so we didn't go up to the tower top..

On our last day..we've planned to stay over in a jim jil bang[public hot bath house]

Another must do thingy in our list..

but it took us quite some time to locate the place..

it's not that near to the subway station..[nearby seoul station]

after turning here and there and asking the passerby locals..

we finally see a glimpse of light..

some how looks hidden.. -.-'

no wonder so hard to find.. -.-'

staying overnight is like ard 14000won..

after entering, u'll be divided into male and female changing room and then meet again..

there's 4 storey..

hot mineral room, salt room, cold room, canteen, people snoring in slping room, TV area, arcade, gym, alot of places to lie ard..

Pls rem to take a shower before entering the hot tub in the huge shower/hot tub/locker/changing room..

if not the ajummas will nag at you or the young ones will give u a dirty look..

in the huge shower/locker/changing room, maybe cos nv experience that before..kinda feel weird..

coz everyone would be bare naked.. -.-'

but everyone looks as if nothing and walks ard comfortably, so... have to fit in luh..

korea is indeed a cosmetic product heaven!..

People bought lotsa things in bulk..N lotsa small freebies/samples..
Especially at Myeongdong..

By the way..this trip was in May 2013..

guess at that time, lotsa things are less expensive..

i heard lotsa things in korea has became more expensive due to media[Kpop] and massive bulk purchases from tourist from other asia countries especially china, hong kong, etc.. T.T
Hopefully it hadn't change that much for my next visit...

I wanna shop at affordable price too!.. >.<

Singapore doesn't have these product 2years back when I bought it in korea..

The sale asst recommended this to me..

I guess there's still a difference in experience luh..

coz she really explained de benefit to me in detail and demonstrated ways to use this..

this chocolate flavour de long xu tang from insadong..

wat's interesting was de chef's demo..

3 of them making the malt into soo many long thinly shredded finally pieces with some tongue twister/ryhemes to make it fun..

it taste nice too!..

But coz it's too cold then..didn't buy and try luh..
